Srinagar, Apr 07 (KNO): The Jammu and Kashmir government on Monday clarified that General Provident Fund (GPF) bills for in-service and retired employees are being cleared regularly, but strictly as per the availability of resources. Responding to a query by MLA Hilal Akbar Lone, the I/C Minister Finance, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), stated that during the financial year 2024-25, a substantial amount of Rs 5,677 crores has been already paid under GPF. The Minister added that the bills are being cleared regularly as per the availability of resources, which indicates any delays may be linked to constraints in fund availability rather than systematic negligence—(KNO)
